[_private/navigate.htm]	Snuglbuds Inc. works with Children's Hospitals to create support systems that work. We use the same colorful fabrics and prints as in our retail products. We have several products in this special group that we keep in stock and have available. When a hospital orders the same custom system several times, we introduce it to other hospitals. As soon as it becomes a standard item for these hospitals it becomes a regular item for us. These items can be further customized by the hospital as required. See Information Summary for a list of products, sizes, parts and pieces.
	medium Travelbud in custom stroller	The Travelbud® Support System, patented is our most versatile product. It can be easily modified to fit a variety of custom equipment including: wheelchairs, strollers, car seats, tumble forms, feeding seats, etc. It fits both standard and custom car seats and is available in three sizes and a variety of colors and prints.
	Sizing is based on how the Travelbud fits into a car seat because this is where the fit is most critical. All Travelbuds are modular and can be fully customized. To determine which size is most appropriate please consider the following or contact laurie@snuglbuds.com if additional information is required. Understanding how car seats work is very important. See car seats for more information. The small and medium Travelbud are somewhat inter-changable depending on the car seat and the size of the child. If the Travelbud is not going to be used in a car seat we recommend a medium for newborns. See Premature Infants for information on custom fitting for the very small.
	Small fits infant carriers and convertible car seats with a harness height of eight (8") inches or less. The Travelbud can be moved up to a higher harness setting. Fit for the lowest harness height to be used. Medium fits car seats with a harness height of nine (9") or more. It will fit the convertible car seats (5 to 40 pounds rear/forward facing) and some infant carriers (5 to 20 pound rear facing). Large fits the larger custom car seats with weight ranges of 20 to 100 pounds. The Travelbud and Butterfly have been used with infants and children for:

	For parents in wheelchairs the Travelbud can help position and support an infant.
	Our unique fabric allows hook Velcro® to be attached almost anywhere. This makes it easy to mount the Travelbud firmly into equipment or onto flat/inclined surfaces. Additional straps, head inserts, etc. all attach as required. The Travelbud is excellent for seated, prone or supine positioning. Use on flat surfaces as an exercise mat or positioning aid. Straps can be used to hold a child during an exercise routine. The support harness can be used to position and hold a child on an incline. The sides of the system can be pulled in close to the child to help bring them back to midline. Additional head inserts or the Butterfly Support can be used for head and neck positioning. Access to all internal components allow for easy customization.
	Stroller Insert At the request of several Hospital we made a custom insert for a Maclaren stroller. This child could not remain upright and was getting his arms caught in the side frame.			Maclaren stroller without support insert.
	Maclaren stroller with custom insert	The stroller insert brings head and upper body back to midline and keeps elbows and arms within the support. Adjustable head insert can be moved as required. Hip support keeps hips in place and reduces sliding. Weighs approx. three pounds.
	This insert has become a stock item. We receive regular requests for it because it is very easy to customize. Access to the inside materials allow for easy modifications. Inserts can be placed behind the foam to increase rigidity or the foam can be custom cut and replaced. The fabric shells can be ordered with or without foam. This allows the Occupational Therapist to use custom inserts. Our goal is to create a system that is easy for professionals to customize, parents to use and for children to be comfortable in.

	The Butterfly Support is a small pillow that was designed for Level II and III NICU's as a positioning and breast feeding nest. (See Premature) It did not take long for the Butterfly to move onto other uses with children and adults. behind the head and neck to support and position. in the small of the back for lumbar support. in the bath for head positioning and comfort. under arms and legs for positioning. it can be tucked almost anywhere Additional information and photographs will be added as soon as possible.
